In this video we will see how to make Nei Appam / Paniyaram recipe in Tamil. Paniyaram is a tasty sweet which very popular in the southern parts of Tamil Nadu. It is called as Nei Appam in Kerala. The paniyaram batter is quite easy to make. It needs a little waiting because the raw rice has to be soaked for 4 hours before making a fine powder out of it. It is then sweetened with jaggery syrup(just dissolved no consistency ). It is then rested for 2 hours and then we can start making the tasty paniyaram / Nei Appam. This method ensures that the final product will be light with lots of holes instead of being dense. The outer surface should be crispy while the inside being soft and fluffy, this creates the unique paniyaram experience.
